Privacy Policy
NoCodeScrape is a Chrome extension that turns the webpage you're viewing into a spreadsheet. This policy explains exactly what data the extension handles, when, and why. The short version: we only touch a page's content when you explicitly ask us to extract from it, and we never collect your passwords, cookies, or browsing history.
What we process when you extract
Extraction only happens when you open the side panel, type what you want, and click Extract. At that moment, and only then, the extension sends to our servers:
- The visible content of the current page — the rendered HTML of the tab you're on, so our system can find the data you described.
- Your prompt — the plain-English description of what you want (e.g. "all products with price and rating").
- The page URL and title — used to detect pagination and to label your results.
This content is processed to produce your structured result and is not used for any other purpose. We do not read or capture any page until you click Extract on it.
What we never collect
- Passwords, login credentials, or form inputs
- Cookies or session tokens from the pages you visit
- Your browsing history or a record of which sites you open
- Your activity on the pages you browse — clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, or keystrokes inside the sites you visit
Accounts and sign-in
Sign-in is optional — you can use NoCodeScrape without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your email address from Google to identify your account and apply your usage allowance. We use Google sign-in (via Firebase Authentication) and store a session cookie so you stay signed in. We do not receive or store your Google password.
Device identifier
To enforce per-device usage limits for users who aren't signed in, the
extension generates a random identifier stored in your browser
(chrome.storage). It is sent with extraction requests solely for
rate-limiting and is not linked to any personal information.
Data retention
Extracted results and the page content sent for an extraction are processed to fulfill your request. We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising, creditworthiness, or any purpose unrelated to producing your spreadsheet.
Third-party processing
To turn page content into structured rows, extraction requests are processed by large language model providers acting as our service providers. They receive only the page content and prompt needed to fulfill the request.
Website analytics
On our marketing website we keep simple, anonymous usage counts — how many people visited a page, where they arrived from (the referring link), and which buttons they clicked. This is first-party only: it stays on our own servers, uses no cookies and no advertising or third-party trackers, and is not tied to your identity. It tells us nothing about the pages you browse with the extension — only how people use this website.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here.
